I know that pain is part of the human experience, but this kind of pain is friggin ridiculous. My personal belief system as far as this disease goes is; I DO believe in exercise and healthy living. I DON'T believe in many pharmaceuticals (those really scare the beejeebees out of me). I DO believe in some supplements. I DO believe in RADON THERAPY. Just a note...
I created this blog to keep track of my experience with Ankylosing Spondilitis and the search for relief from my pain. When I happened across "radon therapy" in one of my late night searches for a cure (while still in pain) I wanted so much to find another human who had tried it first.

This all took place in 2006 - sorry about the dates here. The days/months are correct, the years are not. I wanted to do this in chronological order and that is not the nature of blogs. Be sure to go to older posts at the bottom of each page. Happy reading and if you are in pain, please know that there is hope.
P.S. 2022: I have been to the mines in Montana 18 times now. The positive effects continue to amaze. I am living an active and normal lifestyle. Poor health is no longer a topic of discussion in my household when once it dominated my life and conversation. I have recently moved and have only one doctor - a general practitioner. I use the mines (I travel there once a year now which seems to keep me in optimal health) with no other form of meds. I try to eat healthy and live a healthy lifestyle. Six years ago I completed the Camino de Santiago-a 500 mile walk from the Pyrenees to the Atlantic Ocean of Spain. I averaged 17 miles a day, 7 days a week. In the pre-mine days, that would have only been a pipe dream.

Last year I walked the 250 mile Portuguese Camino from Lisbon to Santiago. There was a time when just walking from my bedroom to the bathroom was overwhelming. I attribute it all to radon therapy.
